Chauffeur Service Across San Francisco and the Bay Area

Discreet, professional chauffeurs. Marin to San Francisco, Napa to Sonoma, SFO to anywhere. By the trip or by the hour. Same chauffeur across your trips when you ask for it.

What chauffeur service with us looks like

A person, not a dispatch.

A San Francisco chauffeur service is supposed to be a person, not an app. Someone who knows the back exit at SFO international, who remembers that your usual seat is the right rear because you take calls during the ride, who texts you "wheels-down" the moment your flight lands, who waits the extra fifteen minutes when customs is slow and does not charge you for it.

That used to be the standard. Then dispatch software replaced it with whoever-is-closest. We started Marin Star to bring the standard back.

Here is what booking chauffeur service with us means. A written quote within thirty minutes of your request. A specific chauffeur assigned to your trip. A confirmation message the morning of the trip with your driver's name, vehicle, and direct phone number. A car prepared the morning of the trip with a fresh detail. Real-time flight tracking when the trip is an arrival. And the same chauffeur on your next booking if you ask for him.

Pricing and how it works

What chauffeur service costs and how the math works.

Flat-rate trips

Point-to-point trips with a defined start and end (Marin to SFO, SFO to Napa hotel, San Francisco to Sonoma plaza) are quoted at a flat rate. The rate includes the vehicle, the chauffeur, fuel, tolls, and bottled water. Gratuity at 20 percent is added as a separate line and you can adjust it.

Sample flat rates from Marin: SFO $145 (sedan), SFO $185 (SUV), SFO $245 (Sprinter), SFO $295 (limo). SFO to Napa $385 (sedan), $445 (SUV), $545 (Sprinter). Mill Valley to Sonoma plaza $215 (sedan), $265 (SUV).

Hourly trips

Hourly chauffeur service is the right structure for any trip with multiple stops, undefined timing, or duration over four hours. The chauffeur stays with the vehicle, you direct the route, and we bill by the hour. Two-hour minimum.

Hourly rates: sedan $95-$125, SUV $115-$175, Sprinter $185-$225, limousine $175-$295, coach $295-$365. The range reflects time-of-day demand (weekend evenings are at the high end) and which specific vehicle within the category.

Day rate (8+ hours)

Trips of eight hours or more, particularly Napa and Sonoma wine country day tours, are quoted at a day rate. Day rates are typically 10 to 15 percent below the equivalent hourly rate, recognizing the booking commitment. Napa wine tour example: $895 in the sedan, $1,150 in the SUV, $1,495 in the limousine, all-in for 9 hours door-to-door.

What is and is not included

Included: vehicle, chauffeur, fuel, tolls, parking, bottled water, real-time flight tracking on airport trips.

Not included: tips (20 percent default, adjustable), alcohol or food brought aboard (bring what you want, but we do not stock it), out-of-network mileage above 100 miles single-day (rare).

No surcharges. No surge pricing. No fuel surcharge. The quote is the quote.

Why same-chauffeur continuity

The third trip is when it pays.

On the first trip, your chauffeur is professional and the ride is comfortable. So far, indistinguishable from a good Uber Black. On the second trip, he remembers your preferred seat and your usual climate. On the third trip he texts you "wheels-down" before you have unbuckled, knows you do not want music on Monday morning runs but you do on Friday evenings, and has already routed around the Bay Bridge backup that started at 4:23 PM.

This is what chauffeur service is supposed to be. It is not faster than rideshare. It is not even necessarily cheaper than rideshare for one-off trips. It is a different category. You are buying continuity, judgment, and the absence of friction. For the executive who takes the same airport run forty times a year, the math is decisive. For the wedding party that needs four cars on a Saturday in Napa, the same logic scales.
